Family First Aid Tips
Use Bactine® to help clean away dirt and
debris, kill germs and soothe pain on contact. You may apply an adhesive bandage
to help keep the cut clean. If the cut has been caused by something like glass or
a rusty nail, it is wise to consult your doctor about getting a tetanus shot.
How to remove splinters
Sterilize
tweezers and a needle over a flame, then cool before using. If the splinter is sticking
out, pull it out from the same angle that it entered. Carefully loosen the skin
that's around the splinter with the sterile needle, then use the tweezers to remove
it. Use Bactine® Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray or Original First Aid Liquid
to kill germs and provide instant pain relief.

How to treat minor
cuts
Use Bactine® to help clean away dirt and debris, kill germs and soothe pain
on contact. You may apply an adhesive bandage to help keep the cut clean. If the
cut has been caused by something like glass or a rusty nail, it is wise to consult
your doctor about getting a tetanus shot.
How to remove ticks
Use tweezers
to remove the tick. In a steady, upward motion, pull the tick until it releases
its hold. Be careful not to squeeze the tick's body. Don't use your fingers or a
match. This could cause the tick to burrow its head into the skin. Don't crush the
tick with your fingers. Don't use petroleum jelly or fingernail polish because they
won't kill the tick. After removing the tick, consult your doctor and clean the
affected area with Bactine® to fight infection and relieve the pain.
